1982 Darmah Hailwood Custom Replica

This bike started life as a standard Darmah. It came to my client through Ebay. It wears a full endurance fairing with a beautiful, alloy Hailwood tank and glass seat. The frame is powdercoated and so are the Brembo calipers. They are connected to their master cylinders with braided steel lines. Original Contis' adorn. The carbs are 40 mm Dellorto pumpers. Notice the chopper style license plate holder. The Tarrozi rear sets are custom mounted. Like the tail light?

As usual, my job was to go through it and fix what needed to be fixed. It turned out to be a lot. Both Desmo heads needed valve adjustment. They were well ported. Both tires were old and dry so they were changed. The chain was shot. This led to discovering that the eccentric swing arm adjusters had been adjusted by a hammer and a chisle. They were wrecked. I replaced them. The off-set clip ons made the steering radius collide with the home made instrument panel and front fairing mount. I had to extend the steering stops to avoid collision. I installed turn signals.

It has since moved on to an out of state owner.
